A Fluid Movement-is a grass roots, non-profit professional Repertory Shakespeare and Classical Acting Troupe for the Coachella Valley. We produce a first rate professional Shakespeare Festival and Repertory Theatre Season in addition to unique, quality educational opportunities such as classes, workshops and our Shakespeare Summer Camp We seek to restore a sense of harmony and balance to our lives and develop ourselves culturally through a stronger bond with one another via community outreach and enrichment using art as a vehicle and medium, as art speaks a universal language, the language of the soul and is essential to the harmony, growth and unity of humanity. Theatre has a deep and rich history rooted in the very beginning of civilization, created as an artistic tool of expression to help aid in catharsis and growth and is still the same today and ever more essential. We strive to retain performing arts, theatre and arts forms of all mediums as an essential part of our daily lives, growth, human connection and understanding. We hope to do this by producing theatre and other performing and visual arts productions of merit along with education instruction in the arts and community outreach and incorporation into our collective. We seek to revive and restore the Classics, specifically Shakespeare and the Greek playwrights. As well as expose people to contemporary works of genius created by innovative, provocative, powerful artists. We also hope to nurture and produce budding artists of our own and produce new and never before done work. Officially founded in January of 2008, we are in the process of applying for non-profit recognition from the IRS. Our Founder has been producing and performing in Shakespeare and Theatre for over 10 years. Our first official season was the 2008-2009 theatrical season in which we produced 3 shows. We also offer classes, instruction and internships local high schools. It is our goal to bring first-rate, nationally recognized Shakespeare and theatre to our community. We hope to offer an annual Shakespeare Festival and much more by next year. We are proud and pleased to announce we will be offering our program of shows and services in partnership with Palm Springs and La Quinta High Schools.
